Our Interns

Sooooooo.... we have daughers. Two of them...twins. :)
We are host parents to two fuel interns this year.

Meet Sarah and Natasha. (sorry, McKenzie isn't in this picture)
They will live with us until May.

The Fuel internship is part of Global Passion Ministries, which is located on the Hillside Campus. There are 9 interns total, and they are in full training mode for this two year program. Year 1 is located at Hillside, where they will take classes, work with our Pastoral staff, do servies, and all kinds of stuff (including a 6am workout every morning!)
Year 2 they will go overseas, and work with a missionary.

Cool huh? Be praying for them as they follow the Lord's leading in their lives.

We felt that the Lord asked us to house interns this year... and praise God he provided a way to do so. So, here they are.:) You can come over and meet them... but hey are busy bees, so they aren't home much.

What's New?

No one probably even reads this anymore... simply because it is never updated.

But hey... let's see what I can remember from the past 6 months:

February: All I can remember about February was that I went to a women's retreat with other women in ministry and pastor's wives at my church. Just a great time to connect with others, pray for each other, and build relationships.

March and April: We had an AWESOME Family Fun Festival at church. Lots of people attended. We had carnival games, a giant inflatible slide, an inflatible obstacle course, a petting zoo, and the fire department even showed up! So fun, and a great way to reach out to our communitity.
That was the end of March, which moved us into our Easter Season, and Stacy got sick sick sick. I was sick for Easter, and in bed for about 4 days. Mac even had to stay home from work one day just to make me feel better.

May: Mac's Birthday... and trip to SERBIA! He had an amazing time traveling with 5 other men from our church. They worked at a Teen Challenge Center in Serbia. They put paver stones on a driveway/porch area. They also got to pray with people going through the Rehab program, and teach classes. Just a GREAT GREAT GREAT Trip.

May, June and July: When Mac got back from Serbia, we discovered I was pregnant. We were not trying to get pregnant, it all just happened. This pregnancy ended in miscarriage in June. God has been so good to us in the process. We had to induce the miscarriage at home, and a D&C the day after. Stacy was tired, but the process was relitively easy, all things considered.
There have been a few complications since then, which require weekly blood tests, but so far levels are good, and Stacy is healthy. Keep praying for a full recovery.

We saw WICKED in San Fran. right after the initial procedure, which was an awesome show, and a great break for the both of us.

July - Aug. : We went on VACATION!! To Fort Bragg Ca. We camped for a week. Stacy's parents and grandparents were there Sun-Friday, and then we were alone Friday-Sunday. We celebrated Stacy's birthday by eating yummy food, exploring glass beach, and even attending the campsites "campfire" program. It was a great week, that we wished lasted much longer!

In Aug we decided to house 2 interns for the following year. We are excited to see the miracles God has done to allow us this opportunity. We welcome them into our home on Aug. 29th.

That brings us to today. Mac still working swing shift, Tues-Sat. which isn't our favorite, but it's ok. Stacy still loving being a Chidrens Pastor at Hillside in Napa

Overall, we've seen the goodness of God in these past few months.

Let us know if you actually read this... might make me post more. :) ha ha... good luck with that.

Jan. 09 Update

So if I update this one a month, that's pretty good right?

I am sitting here watching 13 going on 30. It's pretty much what I do right now... wathc movies. I can't believe it's almost 10pm. Time flies.

McKenzie has survived 2ish weeks of swing shift. It's ok. Not our favorite, but so far it's not as bad as I had once thought. I am going to be going into work late on Tuesday, so I can spend the morning with him. Then I'll work late, either Tuesday or Wednesday nights.

Things at church are going well. We are moving to two services come Easter. 9 and 11. I am excited to be able to grow and expand, so that more people can come and learn about Jesus. Means a lot of work is ahead of me. We are also going to have a big carnival on the 28th of March, and I am preaching again on March 1st. So yea.... it's busy around these parts. 3 kids got baptized last month... which is awesome!

Other then that, not much going on. We bought a WII, and are loving it. I don't play it as much without Mac here. It's nice for him to have Sunday and Monday's off though. He's liked going to church again, and LOVE having him there. It's fun to be together on Mondays too.

We've got small groups coming out of our ears these days. I am leading a "girls night out" which 25 women signed up for.. yikes! Then I am in 2 book clubs (1. All I Need is Jesus and a Good Pair of Jeans, and 2. Audacity of Hope by Obama) Mac is in his book club again too on Friday mornings. So that keeps us busy and helps me to keep my night filled I suppose.

So there's an update on our busy, but not so interesting life. :) Here's to February!
