Back to a Schedule?

Well, I think we might be back to a regular schedule in our lives. Strange, as all summer we've been on no real schedule. Well, McKenzie has, so I guess it's just me.

Here's the update:

We celebrated my birthday by singing in Kathy's wedding. McKenzie sang with me, it was all I wanted for my birthday. It went very well (of course I was the only one who messed up). I think I got more compliments on this song, then any other ever. So, we were glad to have done that for Kathy. Happy Wedding to her.

Then we woke up Aug. 2nd and drove to Bodega Bay. We stayed at a lovely spot. We did.... NOTHING. It was the relaxing weekend we were hoping for. We left Saturday and got back Monday. We ate good food (mostly seafood of course), had fun deserts, and bought a kite. We don't have a great history of kite flying... but this time it went very well, and I didn't take McKenzie's head off. The wind was roaring, which really helped. It was a nice weekend. We hope to be going back sometime!

We both headed back to work on Tuesday Aug. 5th. It was my first day in the office. Things are going well, and I am getting used to all the ins and outs around here. Sunday went very well, as far as I could tell. It's hard to believe that I am back in ministry... but I am glad to be here.

McKenzie has a few more weeks of training, and then he will be off on his own. This means we will have a new schedule for him from September - December. Then he will get his new year schedule for Jan. - Dec. '09. I have a feeling our days of "day shift" are quickly coming to an end. Although we enjoy him working day shift, we are looking forward to him having a more predictably schedule. :)

Other then that, nothing too new to report. I will post pictures of our trip sometime.
